New 50m Steel series teaser from Heesen

A new generation of 50-meter steel displacement superyachts is now being developed, according to Dutch builder Heesen.

The new line, which was unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, is a development of the existing 50-meter Steel range that, in the words of the shipyard, has been “reimagined” to provide a brand-new yacht.

The Fast Displacement Hull Form, which tries to blend comfort and stability with more effective and quick sailing, is one of the major modifications. The owner has the option to choose the propulsion system they like, just like with all Heesen yachts.

The yacht’s design places a strong emphasis on natural light and a thoughtful configuration, with distinct staff paths to ensure discrete service. This model has a multi-deck terrace and an infinity pool among its features. Six bedrooms, including a full-beam master suite with a French balcony on the starboard side, may accommodate up to 12 passengers.

The composition of the design team is secret. Clifford Denn and Reymond Langton are the designers of the current 50-meter Steel range, and Heesen has worked successfully with a number of other designers, notably Cristiano Gatto and Luca Dini.

Three boats make up the 50-meter Steel series at the moment: Omaha, Arkadia, and the most recent delivery, Project Aura, which made its FLIBS premiere. It is acknowledged that the new series will take the place of the current one.

In December 2022, the design team and the initial model renderings will be revealed.
