Launch of the first flagship 40m Riva 130′ Bellissima motor yacht

Riva has announced the launch of the first 40-metre Riva 130’ Bellissima yacht in La Spezia, Italy for an American owner. The motor yacht, which is the largest model available with a flybridge, is a spectacular mix of high design, naval engineering, skilled craftsmanship, and technology.

The first planing flybridge in the Riva 130′ Bellissima yacht’s series to span three actual decks while still being under 300 GT. Her striking silhouette is characterized by her simplistic lines.

She was created by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design, who over the past 27 years have created all of Riva’s boats. They collaborated with the Ferretti Group Engineering Department and the Strategic Product Committee, which was chaired by Mr. Piero Ferrari.

“Riva Bellissima is an exceptional boat, both in name and in practice. She has my complete admiration and enthusiasm as the new flybridge flagship, according to Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.

The interior of the Riva 130′ Bellissima includes a main saloon encircled by glass and light, with an unrestricted 270-degree outlook and ceilings over 2 meters high, embellished with beautiful glass and rosewood. Ten guests can dine outdoors at a table set up at the stern of the upper deck, while others can sip cocktails on the sundeck.

With her owner’s section separated into a lounge, a sizable sun pad, and various more private, intimate places, she can fit up to 10 guests across five cabins. The ship’s lower deck is home to the remaining four bedrooms, which are all equipped with en suite bathrooms and are divided by a sizable lobby.

The 130′ Riva Bellissima, the company’s flagship vessel, pioneered a novel design for the stern, which is lower, exposed to the water, and separated into a sizable Beach Club and a roomy cockpit. Her seabob, jet ski, and tender are kept in the port hull side.

Twin 2,638 mph MTU engines are used to power the Riva 130′ Bellissima, giving her a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.
