Horizon Yachts introduces the FD102

The latest FD102 has an unique interior made for an Australian owner…

The Horizon FD102, dubbed ‘Askari,’ has been launched and delivered to an Australian owner. The project started as an FD92 but was later expanded to meet the owners’ request for more outside space.

There are three enormous decks aboard the yacht, including an open flybridge with a semi-enclosed sky lounge and a five-stateroom configuration with an on-deck master bedroom. On the main deck, FD102 has a classic layout with a spacious aft deck, a salon, and a formal dining area.

The on-deck master suites are joined by four additional storerooms on the lower deck, with crew quarters and a garage aft of the engine room. A sky-lounge bar and seating area, as well as a full dining area with a jacuzzi, are available on board.

The contemporary interior was designed by Gold Coast-based interior design firm PLK Design, with the company owner selecting the finishes and outfitting accessories, opting for cambria stonework as an upgrade throughout.

The use of Australian products continues throughout the yacht, with Soktas Hand Blown Glass Lightning illuminating the interior areas and furniture company Jardan providing the majority of the furnishings.

The new FD102 will be headquartered in Airlie Beach and will cruise the Kimberley Islands in Western Australia.
